A male suspect has been apprehended following the tragic incident where a pregnant woman fell to her death from a balcony in Bursa, Turkey. The victim, Ekram Hassan, aged 35 and seven months pregnant, fell from her family’s home on Durmus Street in the Ucevler neighborhood of the Nilufer district around midnight.
Despite emergency responders’ efforts, Ekram succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Her husband, aged 37, has been taken into custody by authorities in connection with the incident, including suspicion of substance misuse.
Forensic investigators have examined both the interior and exterior of the property where the tragic event occurred. Authorities are actively investigating all possible scenarios leading to Ekram’s fatal fall.
Ekram’s body has been transferred to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of her death.
