Juno Temple, known for her role in the popular series Ted Lasso, has announced her marriage to Michal Szymanski, whom she met while working on the show. The actress, who portrays PR expert Keeley Jones, shared the news just before the premiere of the fourth season of the comedy. Juno, 37, crossed paths with Michal during the show’s second season, where he portrayed the driver of Keeley’s boss and close friend Rebecca Welton, played by Hannah Waddingham.
During a conversation with Chris Evans and her co-star Hannah, Juno disclosed, “I got married; we met on season two of Ted Lasso.” Hannah revealed that Juno sought her approval before going out with Michal, recalling their initial encounter: “She asked, ‘Can I ask him on a date?’ I replied, ‘Yes, you can.’ He was my driver.” Juno shared an amusing anecdote, mentioning, “He was driving Hannah, and they had a secret signal where I could join them, and coincidentally, Hannah’s meeting would run late.”
Hannah jokingly warned Michal to take care of Juno or face consequences, stating, “Look after my girl or I will punch you square in the face.” She added, “They are each other’s perfect match in the world.” Juno and Michal went public with their relationship in 2022 by attending the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick together.
Since then, the couple has been seen at various events, including the Critics Choice Awards in 2024 and the premiere of Venom: The Last Dance, a movie in which Juno starred. Prior to her relationship with Michal, Juno dated actor Michael Angarano from 2013 to 2016. The engagement news was first revealed by Juno in a 2024 interview with the Los Angeles Times, where she discussed working with her dialect coach while filming Ted Lasso.
In the latest season of Ted Lasso, released on August 5, Juno reprises her role as Keeley Jones, while Hannah returns as Rebecca as they collaborate to launch AFC Richmond’s women’s football team. Hannah has also introduced her new partner, Nick Beresford-Cleary, with whom she made a public appearance at the Variety Power of Women event in London in June.
Previously, Hannah had a decade-long relationship with Gianluca Cugnetto and shares a daughter named Kitty with him. Reflecting on her new relationship with Nick, Hannah expressed, “It’s taken me eight years. I didn’t really have the mental or emotional space for that. I’ve focused on my daughter and myself. [But] now I’m ready to be more visible.”
