Renowned interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has disclosed his decision to allocate a significant portion of his estate to his sons-in-law. In a recent conversation preceding his Drawn to Adorn art tour collaboration with Buckingham Fine Art, the 61-year-old mentioned relinquishing his “lord of the manor” status by adding his loved ones to the family home’s deeds.
Confirming the inclusion of his sons-in-law on the property documentation, Laurence emphasized that his daughters, Cecile and Hermione, were not disregarded in this arrangement. He shares two daughters with his wife Jackie Bowen, with the entire family, including husbands and children, residing in a £3 million valued six-bedroom manor house in Siddington, Cotswolds.
In an interview last year, Hermione mentioned that she and her sister were not listed on the deeds as they would inherit the property regardless. Laurence described the family dynamics, highlighting that his daughters oversee the family businesses while stating, “both of the boys have been very involved in the commercial side.”
Discussing the management of the household, Laurence revealed that all three households jointly own the property to avoid a hierarchical financial structure within the family. He emphasized the importance of mutual responsibility and a shared commitment to the home. Despite some skepticism about this unconventional approach, Laurence stands by the decision as a practical and trust-building family dynamic.
Additionally, Laurence clarified that his daughters and their husbands hold equal ownership of the estate, emphasizing his fondness for his sons-in-law and their integral role within the family. Apart from family matters, Laurence is preparing for his debut art exhibition tour, Drawn to Adorn, in collaboration with Buckingham Fine Art, showcasing his original artwork at various locations across the UK.
The exhibition features a unique collection of boldly decorative works on paper inspired by diverse sources such as Baroque botanical prints and 1980s post-punk cinema. Each venue will display a curated selection of his large-scale, intricately crafted pieces. Laurence’s Drawn to Adorn art tour is scheduled to run from June 27 to July 11, 2026, offering audiences the opportunity to experience his artistic creations up close.
