A 47-year-old woman, Stella Gollovena, has been brought before court for allegedly stabbing four men in the back with scissors in Covent Garden, London. The victims identified as Patrick De Barr, Thomas Harding, Adrian Lovett, and Mantas Jankus were attacked during the incident. Gollovena faces four charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one charge of possessing an offensive weapon in a public setting.

The accused, who is currently without a permanent address, was presented with the charges for the first time during a hearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court. According to reports, the police were alerted by one of the injured victims on Endell Street, a bustling area known for its bars, theaters, and restaurants. Upon arrival, officers were informed that two men had been stabbed, following which they apprehended the suspect after a pursuit and use of a Taser.

Further investigations revealed that four men had sustained stab wounds to their backs and were treated at a hospital, while a fifth individual declined to provide a statement despite also being stabbed. It is alleged that at the time of her arrest, Gollovena was in possession of a pair of scissors, also referred to as shears. Deputy Chief Magistrate Tan Ikram ordered Gollovena to remain in custody until the next court appearance scheduled at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 3.

Following the stabbings, an air ambulance landed in a crowded Trafalgar Square, and the London Ambulance Service confirmed that all four patients were transported to a major trauma center as a priority. The Metropolitan Police stated that the injuries sustained by the four men, aged between 34 and 56, were not life-threatening or life-altering, as they were discharged from the hospital subsequently.
