The incident occurred when Abbey’s acrylic nail broke while hugging her friend, causing significant pain that spread throughout her body. Despite feeling embarrassed about the injury, Abbey detailed the intense nerve pain she experienced, prompting a visit to the hospital where her nail was removed by a doctor. Her husband, Peter, had to cancel a planned golf outing with friends due to the situation, which initially seemed trivial but turned out to be quite serious.
