An Ontario couple, Alannah MacLean and Kyle Heddle, decided to embark on a journey across North America in their customized van, accompanied by their dog Diesel. Initially planning a short stay in Labrador before heading to Newfoundland, they were captivated by the region and ended up extending their visit by nearly a month due to the welcoming locals and the unique experiences of living in the area.

During their travels, Alannah and Kyle have been documenting their adventures on their YouTube channel, Way of the Roads, showcasing the stunning landscapes of Newfoundland and Labrador. Their videos feature picturesque locations such as Bell Island, the Baccalieu Trail, Gros Morne, and the abandoned theme park Trinity Loop. In Labrador, they encountered icebergs, wildlife, and traversed the Trans-Labrador Highway, capturing it all with a drone for breathtaking views.

Their YouTube channel has gained popularity, boasting 138 videos and 23,000 subscribers. Alannah and Kyle’s relationship blossomed during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading them to share a love for the outdoors and eventually inspiring them to embark on their current journey. Despite the challenges, they express their joy and fulfillment in exploring the great outdoors.
