A woman in her twenties tragically passed away, while another man was taken to the hospital after they were reportedly attacked at a location in London.
Emergency services responded to Uxbridge Road around 7:55 am today following reports of a double stabbing incident.
Despite efforts from paramedics, a 24-year-old woman was found with fatal stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his twenties was also discovered outside the property with stab injuries. The Metropolitan Police is awaiting updates on his condition.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place. Police apprehended him nearby based on the suspect’s description.
The alleged suspect is currently hospitalized with injuries believed to be from jumping out of a window.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo commented, “This is a shocking incident that tragically led to the death of a woman and another man hospitalized with injuries.”
“Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, who are receiving support from specialized officers,” he added.
Investigations are in early stages, with no indication of a broader threat to public safety. Authorities encourage anyone with information to come forward to aid the investigation.
The incident has understandably caused concern in the community, leading to an increased police presence in the area in the coming days.
