Police in Bolton have initiated a murder investigation following the discovery of a deceased man at a residence. Responding to a call on June 30, officers arrived at Gray Street to find a 50-year-old man with severe injuries to his head and chest. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

After receiving “new information,” Greater Manchester Police announced the launch of a murder inquiry subsequent to a post-mortem examination. A 15-year-old boy has been apprehended under the Mental Health Act and is scheduled for questioning.

Authorities assure the public that they view this incident as isolated, with no broader threat to the local community. Detective Chief Inspector Louise Edwards from GMP’s Major Incident Team expressed condolences to the man’s family and friends, emphasizing ongoing efforts to ascertain the circumstances of his demise.
