“Widow of OceanGate Titan Victims Reveals Crew’s Disturbing Behavior”

Published on

Christine Dawood, a woman who tragically lost her husband and stepson in the OceanGate Titan disaster, revealed that while anxiously awaiting news about her loved ones, the crew of the ship she was on engaged in singing and playing games. The incident occurred on June 18, 2023, when her husband Shahzada Dawood, 48, and stepson Suleman, 19, perished along with three others in the implosion of the tourist submersible as it descended to explore the Titanic wreckage.

Living in Surrey with her daughter, Christine recounted how their family journeyed 400 miles off Newfoundland, Canada, aboard the Polar Prince ship for the ill-fated dive. She witnessed her husband and stepson depart in a dinghy towards the Titan, but communication with the submersible was lost by 11am on the day it was scheduled to return at 3pm.

Despite growing concerns as time passed, Christine described the crew’s nonchalant attitude and attempts to maintain normalcy through activities like music sessions, movies, and poker games. She expressed disbelief at their actions to divert attention and avoid media involvement during the crisis.

Tragically, all aboard the Titan, which included prominent figures like OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, met instantaneous death due to intense deep-sea pressures causing a catastrophic implosion at a depth of 12,400 feet. Christine found solace in knowing her family likely did not suffer during their sudden passing.

Subsequently, the wreckage of the Titan was located near the Titanic’s bow, confirming the loss of all lives aboard. Christine shared her emotional visits to her stepson’s room where she grapples with her grief, reflecting on the memories of her lost loved ones.
