The TV host is currently under scrutiny for allegations of sexism, misogyny, and workplace harassment, brought forth by his former co-host, Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije.
The legal dispute involves Walker, who recently joined Channel 5 News, ITN, the program’s producer, and Paramount, Channel 5’s parent company. Vanderpuije, who spent six years at Channel 5 before departing in 2024, initiated the accusations based on her experiences working alongside Walker during her final year at the network. Walker is expected to refute the allegations during the anticipated five-week hearing.
Although Walker chose not to attend the initial trial day, he appeared in good spirits at the ClassicFM event alongside co-host Myleene Klass. Prior to the event, Walker shared his excitement on social media about his day’s schedule, expressing his regret for missing the C5 News broadcast.
In a light-hearted moment captured on social media, Walker playfully teased Klass as they prepared for their stage appearance at the Royal Albert Hall. Meanwhile, it was revealed that Vanderpuije’s legal team attempted to settle her case for a reported £4 million, with all settlement offers initiated by the Respondents and rejected by Vanderpuije.
Aside from her tenure at Channel 5, Vanderpuije has a diverse media background, having worked at Talkradio, TimeFM, ITN News, the Press Association, ITV, BBC, London Live, and Sky News.
