Heidi Range, a former member of the Sugababes, surprised fans at the recent Mighty Hoopla festival in London by returning to the stage after a 15-year hiatus. The 43-year-old singer joined forces with Nicole and Natalie Appleton from All Saints, performing as Appleton, their band from the early 2000s.
The crowd erupted with excitement as Heidi sang Sugababes’ hit “Round Round” and belted out some of All Saints’ popular tunes like “Pure Shores.” Social media buzzed with fans expressing their joy at the unexpected collaboration, with one fan calling it “the girlband reunion we never knew we needed.”
Heidi shared her exhilaration by posting a video of her entrance in a dazzling green jumpsuit before the performance. She described the opportunity as a surreal moment, tracing it back to a surprise invitation from Natalie earlier in the year.
Having departed from Sugababes during their hiatus in 2011, Heidi has since immersed herself in songwriting, TV appearances, and musical theater, even becoming an ambassador for the NSPCC charity. While fans clamor for a Sugababes reunion, Heidi has firmly stated that she will not rejoin the original lineup of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhán Donaghy.
Reflecting on potential future music projects, Heidi hinted at keeping her focus elsewhere and dismissed the idea of a solo music career. Despite the speculation, her return to the stage at Mighty Hoopla remains a cherished moment for fans and performers alike.
