In a shocking incident at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club in South West London, a luxury car valued at nearly £200,000 was vandalized by an unidentified man. The Aston Martin, a 2015 Vanquish model, had its windows smashed and the word ‘CHEATER’ spray-painted on its bonnet.
The Metropolitan Police are currently investigating the situation, suspected to be linked to a cheating scandal. Witnesses reported seeing the culprit, wearing a baseball cap, causing extensive damage to the high-end vehicle with a hammer. The car, with the distinctive numberplate ‘BD55 BOB,’ suffered significant destruction, including smashed windows, lights, and a torn roof.
Despite its original price tag of £192,000 and impressive performance capabilities, such as a top speed of 201 mph and acceleration from 0 to 52 mph in 3.6 seconds, the car has been deemed a total loss following the vandalism incident.
The police have spoken to witnesses, including the car owner who was present at the scene with his dogs. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward by contacting the police on 101, quoting CAD 4251/25MAY, or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident and their ongoing investigation in response to the criminal damage report at the sports club in Molesey on May 25. Despite conducting searches, the suspect remains at large, with no arrests made as the inquiries persist.
