The renowned Red Arrows display team is set to showcase their amazing skills at various events across the country this weekend. Fans can witness the Royal Air Force’s Aerobatic Team perform breathtaking maneuvers and flypasts at different locations starting today. The Red Arrows pilots commenced their training for the season last year, with extensive winter training from October or November to mid-March or early April. Their first display outside the UK was in Greece on May 24, commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete.
This weekend, the Red Arrows will grace the English Riviera Airshow in Torbay, Devon, as part of the event’s 13th year celebration. Following this, they will head to the Midlands Air Festival in Alcester, Warwickshire, where they will be joined by aircraft from the Second World War, RAF Falcons, helicopters, and parachute teams for thrilling performances on Saturday and Sunday.
After participating in various events, the Red Arrows will have a brief break before appearing at the Isle of Man TT race events on June 4 and the Gassed on Track event at Silverstone on June 6. They will later make a flypast over Buckingham Palace during the Trooping the Colour ceremony and perform at the RAF Cosford Airshow on June 14 before heading to the US for international shows.
During the summer, the Red Arrows will tour airshows and displays in the US from June 27 to July 26. They will return to the UK in August for the Airbourne – Eastbourne International Airshow, showcasing their skills on August 14, 16, and at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on August 15. The team will also take part in the Cromer Carnival in Norfolk on August 19, followed by appearances at the Southport Airshow on August 29 and 30 to conclude their busy schedule in the UK.
